Mode of Action

Forestall binds electrostatically to both natural and
synthetic fibers such as cotton, polyester and polyamide.

Forestall a Bacteriostatic agent binds to cell membrane of micro
organisms and disrupt lipo polysaccharide structure of the cell thus
prevents their growth on fabric surface.

Anti odor test

An extension of AATCC 100
• Fabrics undergo AATCC 100 by taking bacteria “ Proteus
mirabilis” followed by measurement of odouriferous molecule
Ammonia.
• Done by adding nutrient Urea.
• Bacteria produces enzyme “Urease” which splits Urea into
Ammonia, which is detected colorimetrically.
